The role will manage the business planning processes from order intake through to despatch. The main purpose of the role is to ensure that appropriate customer service levels are maintained whilst providing the lowest operational cost to the business.
Responsibilities will include:
Ensure achievable daily production plans are set that satisfy production capacities
Assess the current business production planning model and determine if a more appropriate approach is required
Control the daily ordering of raw materials to ensure they are delivered on time
Ensure the MRP system is kept constantly up to date with raw material deliveries and movements
Act as the focal point for communications between Sales & Production
Analyse past trends and work with the Sales team and Distribution Director to ensure stock holding levels are at an optimum
Produce weekly reports for the business, monitoring performance against the plan
Constantly monitor supplier performance (OTIF) and raise failures with the buyers.
Liaise with Purchasing to ensure all raw materials are properly set up
Liaise with Sales and Production Managers and prepare forecasted production capacity requirements
Experience:
Experience of managing a team (essential)
Min 5yrs experience of production planning
Knowledge of MRP systems
Preferably degree qualified or similar
IT literate to high level
Knowledge of the industry or similar would be preferable but not essential
Ability to work calmly, effectively and accurately in a challenging and fast paced environment
Analytical mind, detail focused, thrives on setting and achieving plans and targets
The role is to provide a delivery and installation service as part of a 2 man team. Flexible start times depending on areas delivering to (45 hrs. per week), weekend work also available.
Responsibilities will include:
Loading/unloading vehicles
Delivery and installation of Dams furniture at customer’s premises
Completing pre-calls to customers
Work as part of a 2 man delivery team
Managing customer expectations on site
Resolving queries / issues whilst on site
Experience:
Full clean driving license (candidates without this cannot be considered)
Previous experience in joinery or furniture installation
Experienced driver (multi drop or project work)
CSCS cardholder would be an advantage
Excellent telephone manner
Flexibility on start times
Heavy lifting and carrying will be part of the role
The ability to work as part of a team and have a professional and polite manner
The role of Quality & Compliance Technician will champion the continuous improvement of product quality and to control the compliance requirements for all products.
Responsibilities will include:
Develop and implement a Quality Management System for the business (ISO 9001)
Introduce and own Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
Ensure all products have clearly defined product quality standards, so the business knows what is and is not acceptable
To improve the quality of raw materials coming into the business - working closely with Purchasing to create Material Purchasing Specifications (MPS’s) for our raw materials and auditing suppliers
Control the supplier non-conformance process in the business
Work with Production Management to ensure adherence to SOP’s via audits and education sessions
Analyse product returns and product related customer service issues
Produce reports for the business measuring key quality issues
Understand the obligations around product testing and compliance standards
Become the focal point for all things relating to product quality for the business
Experience:
Experience of working in a senior quality role
Working knowledge of ISO 9001
Preferably degree qualified or similar
Can demonstrate some formal training relating to quality
IT literate to high level
Knowledge of the industry or similar would be preferable but not essential
Excellent standards of communication both written and verbal
Lead by example and communicate with clarity whilst demonstrating excellence in approach to work
